مرکز نوآوری و فناوری ایران در کنیا، در بهمن سال 1399 با حضور معاونت علمی فناوری ریاست جمهوری افتتاح گردید. رسالت این مرکز ایجاد بستری برای گسترش صادرات محصولات ایرانی در شرق آفریقا و همچنین پل ارتباطی برای انتقال تکنولوژی و نوآوری بین شرکت ها و استارتاپ های ایرانی و کنیایی است. اهداف این مرکز به شرح زیر می باشد:

1- حضور قدرتمند شرکت های ایرانی در بازار شرق آفریقا

2- حمایت از استارتاپ های ایرانی جهت حضور در بازار شرق آفریقا

3- میزبانی از شرکت ها و استارتاپ های کنیایی

4- هماهنگی رویداد های مشترک بین دو کشور

5- برگزاری نمایشگاه های تخصصی

6- سرمایه گذاری بر روی استارتاپ های صادراتی

7- ارائه خدمات مشاوره ای و منتورینگ به شرکت های ایرانی و کنیایی

8- ارائه خدمات بازاریابی و بازرگانی به شرکت های ایرانی و کنیایی
